Gotham City Impostors was released in 2012. At its prime, the game held a player population of over 200,000 players in multiple game modes. Four years later, in 2016, the game is still alive, albeit barely, with activity limited to Team Deathmatch only with a greatly diminished player population of maybe (my estimation) less than 3,000 with all other gamemodes apparently abandoned. Overall, given that all other gamemodes except for Team Deathmatch are empty and the player population has greatly diminished, i fear that this once-great game is on the verge of dying completely.

The game is unplayable on PS3 due to the shutdown of Gamespy and all PS3 servers. There are still a few active PC servers but that is all that is keeping the game alive anymore.

I have heard some talking and rumors about a sequel but no confirmation has been given since.

What do you think, is this the end for Gotham City Impostors or is there still hope?
